My love for art comes from the world around me and the insperations it lends me.
Arlene Hancock is a local artist and has been painting for almost 30 years’ and has found a love for pastels and pet portraits. Arlene has been commissioned to do several pet portraits and currently has a few on display at Sunnidale Boarding Kennels here in Angus. She has participated in various art galleries and venues, independently and with the Barrie Art Club. She has obtained two diplomas one in Creative Arts, and another in Developmental Services Work. Arlene has a love for photography, nature, musical instruments and painting, as well, as a passion for working with children with various challenges and special needs.
Earlier in Arlene’s career she ran numerous arts and craft workshops for children. Currently and for the last 10 years Arlene has worked part-time with the school board as an Educational Assistant . Working part-time gives Arlene the opportunity to work in both her passions, children and art.
